The article traces David’s steps from his childhood days growing up in the Lillian Wald Houses on the Lower East Side, to his first meeting with his wife Fay (when they were 16 and 14 years old), through his early law career. In 1973, David joined the small firm of Winer, Neuberger & Sive, the firm which became Sive, Paget & Riesel. In the more than 40 years that followed, David has gone on to represent dozens of major projects in New York City and has trained three generations of environmental attorneys. The article includes vignettes from a life full of challenges and triumphs.
